Getting Chimay

Today marks a very important date in the annals of Chimay!!! The above picture depicts the unveiling of Chimay Trappist Tripel draft for the first time ever in Kentucky. At both ends of the picture are the ones who have had the most experience with the trappist brewery known as Abbaye De Scourmont in Belgium.

On the far left is the renowned doctor in Shelbyville, Kentucky. For over 20 years he and I have been visiting the brewery and staying on site. We have even been welcomed with our wives, a big bonus for the trappist monks. Since they have devoted the rest of their lives to God, beer, bread, and great Chimay cheese. they enjoy the occasional break. Having women around complements their internet browsing. Kidding. Anyways Eric, the big fellow, occupies most of the left side of the picture and is celebrating his birthday today, as is Guatemala. In the middle, as he loves to be located, is the famous CNN interviewee, JD from Beerhaus Distributing. In between JD and myself is my friend from Belgium BOBO. He is the importer for the Chimay in the United States. His salesman, like he needs one, is the other fellow. Its hard to believe its been 7 months. Kentucky has become worldly. See you soon.
